DEFEAT-NCD-PARTNERSHIP awarded BINSALIM GEOSERVICES ENGINEERING CO. LTD a Consultancy Service to carry out Geotechnical Investigation for Proposed design and construction of Cancer hospital at Binguni in Central District, South Region, Unguja-Zanzibar. The purpose of ground investigation was to provide recommendations and geotechnical design parameters for the foundation design. The geotechnical investigation was conducted on March 2025 at the proposed site for the aim of providing bearing capacity, assessing site condition, compactness of the soil layer and assessing hazard at site. A total of twelve (12) Dynamic Cone Penetration (DCP) and twelve (12) Boreholes (BH) were conducted for the purpose of screening the area and detailed the investigation of soil.
