ORKUN awarded BINSALIM GEOSERVICES ENGINEERING CO. LTD a Consultancy Service to carry out Geotechnical Investigation for Proposed design and construction of Zanzibar arena at Fumba, Unguja – Zanzibar. This stadium is expected to be constructed in Fumba, Unguja – Zanzibar. The objective of the investigation is to verify and supplement the existing data on general foundation risk and to provide geotechnical information required for the design of foundations for the Construction of Zanzibar arena.
As part of this investigation, eight (8) boreholes were drilled to a depth of up to 30 m. The fieldwork included Standard Penetration Tests (SPT), rock classification from borehole samples, and assessment of groundwater depth for construction purposes
