Project description.
The President’s office-regional administration local government and special department engaged Binsalim Geoservices Engineering Co. Ltd to conduct geotechnical investigation services for the Construction of CCTV Control Centre at Unguja and Pemba.
These Offices are expected to be constructed in Unguja and Pemba in four (4) locations includes Maisara in Unguja, Chake Chake, Mkoani and Wete for Pemba. The objective of the investigation is to verify and supplement the existing data on general foundation risk and to provide geotechnical information required for the design of foundations for the Construction of CCTV Control Centre buildings.
As part of this investigation, 20 boreholes were drilled to depths of up to 10 m. The fieldwork included Standard Penetration Tests (SPT), soil and rock classification from borehole samples, and assessment of groundwater depth for construction purposes.
