Project description.
The IBM Company Ltd engaged Binsalim Geoservices Engineering Co. Ltd to conduct geotechnical investigation services for the Construction of hotel blocks.
These Blocks are expected to be constructed in Kikungwi, unguja - zanzibar . The objective of the investigation is to verify and supplement the existing data general foundation risk and to provide geotechnical information required for the design of foundations for the Construction of Hotel blocks.
As part of this investigation, 7 boreholes were drilled to depths of up to 20 m. The fieldwork included Standard Penetration Tests (SPT), rock and soil classification from borehole samples, and assessment of groundwater depth for construction purposes
